Striker — the returning pouncer
The Striker is confirmed as a returning Xenomorph strain in Fireteam Elite 2 by AvP Central's running bestiary. Here's what is actually documented — and what hasn't been detailed yet.
What's confirmed
AvP Central's enemy roster for the sequel lists Drone, Crusher and Striker as returning strains alongside new additions (Exploder, Siren, Warden, Harbinger, Bulwark). In the first Aliens: Fireteam Elite, the Striker was the hive's leaping ambusher — and its return was called out explicitly rather than folded into generic "runner" types.
What to expect in a fight
Based on the first game, Strikers excel at vertical pounces that break your formation. Combined with the sequel's documented Xenomorph mobility — wall and ceiling crawling, sidestep dodges (GamingBolt) — treat ceilings as valid attack lanes, especially in the mining facility's tall processor rooms.
Squad tips
The same anti-mobile-Xeno rules that work on Drones apply: tight-spread automatics, rear security, and no solo chasing. If you hear a pounce wind-up, call it — a Striker landing inside your stack is how missions snowball on Intense and above.
