Progression & Unlocks — how your Marine grows
The full progression loop: what you earn, where you spend it, and how the sixth class unlocks. Sourced from GamingBolt's hands-on and AvP Galaxy's Specialist reveal.
The currency: Requisition Credits
Everything runs on Requisition Credits, earned in-game from chests and mission rewards (GamingBolt). You spend them aboard the Endeavor at Wrench, the armory vendor selling weapon attachments (GamingBolt). Critically: no microtransactions — every credit is earned (GamingBolt).
What progression buys you
- Weapon attachments — Wrench's stock, purchased with credits (GamingBolt)
- Weapon upgrades & Augments — feeding your Combat Rating (GamingBolt)
- Traits — swappable weapon perks that move between guns (see Traits & Augments)
- Cosmetics — hundreds of appearance items (GamingBolt; see customization)
- Class perks & Modifiers — e.g. the Medic's Guardian Kit options documented in hands-on coverage (GamingBolt)
The Specialist: your endgame class
The sixth class, the Specialist, is an unlockable endgame class for fully custom Marines — mixing major and minor abilities from every class (official site; AvP Galaxy; DSOGaming). It exists to convert a maxed account into a build sandbox. Details live on our Specialist hub.
Efficient progression habits
- Open every chest — credits are the economy's fuel (GamingBolt)
- Buy attachments for weapons you actually main before spreading credits wide
- Push difficulty when ready: higher tiers exist to be progression content (GamingBolt)
- Horde depth pays "increasingly valuable rewards" (DSOGaming) — see Horde mode
